- 25€ buys learning resources (crayons, papers, etc.) for the children’s center for a week – every day 20 X 3 shifts activities.
- 50€ buys supplies for 15 women’s entrepreneurship building three days of soft skills training.
- 100€ buys magazines and newspapers for a month.
- 200€ buys 50 books for different age groups.
- 500€ pays two local staff salaries for a month.
We launched a brand new NaraTika Community Learning Center for the empowerment of underprivileged people in Okhaldhunga. The center provides learning resources like a library, children’s center, youth and women center, IT/computer & online center, training and conference hall, and dormitory for all age groups. We need funds to facilitate the activities.
About the Community Learning Center
VIN has been working in Taluwa, Thulachhap, and Bhadaure of Okhaldhunga District since 2012, serving over 15,000 population. These remote villages lack basic infrastructure. We, therefore, have been supporting these rural villages using a holistic approach to community empowerment – Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) by education and construction of over 1800 toilets, 28 Early Childhood Education (ECD), Schools, Community Learning centers, women’s empowerment, youth empowerment, sustainable food production through permaculture and rainwater harvesting, children’s clubs, disaster risk reduction.
The last floor is yet to be completed and will cost about €105000. Any amount you donate will directly go to fund this project. Anyone (organization, company, individual) who donates over €500 will be mentioned on the Plaque of the CLC and in different media. Your donation will be mentioned in our newsletters and reports, too.
