Child sponsorship allows an individual, typically in a developed country, to sponsor, or fund a child in a developing country, until the child becomes self-sufficient. This could mean financially supporting the education, health or security of the sponsored child or in some cases all of these. This could also mean contributing more widely to the child’s community developing without directly helping an individual child. Volunteers Initiative Nepal has also run the child sponsorship program since 2008. VIN has provided the sponsorship to the hundred children continuously every year with the help of many helping hands from the different countries all over the world till the present. The main objective of sponsoring the children is to provide the better education to the children who cannot afford the costly fee and materials which are needed in the courses of the study. Its target is to literate the children and increases the literacy rate of our country which is quiet disappointing on this situation. However, it is trying its best to help and support the children on their physical, mental, and social development.
Additionally, VIN has prepared the three intakes of the sponsored children to the sponsors and the donors every year. The three intakes are April, August and December of the year. It includes the progress report, Request letter, recent conditions and pictures of the children. VIN collected the above information of the children and sent to our sponsors to update the sponsorship and children. It helps to support our children to get more sponsorship and helps to build the good relationship between the donors and children.VIN helps and supports to manage the communication between the sponsorship and sponsors children.
