1st April, 2014: VIN s will provide embroidery training to women of Jitpurphedi community starting from 2nd of April 1, 2014. The training will continue for two months. 18 participants will be receiving this training. Volunteers Initiative Nepal has been organizing various income generation activities which have helped to achieve VIN’s mission “Empowering marginalized communities”. Similarly, Jitpurphedi Agriculture Women Co-operative Limited is preparing to publish 700 pieces of calendars very soon. Various international and local volunteers have supported VIN’s Women Empowerment project by sharing their knowledge and experience with poor rural women.
VIN’s Women’s empowerment program includes various projects such as Micro credit co-operative support, Income Generation and Marketing, Women Trafficking Prevention, Education, Rights and Life skills. You can participate in any projects as a volunteer or as an intern. Your simple help can make a huge difference in their life. You can help these marginalized women who are struggling to create their own identity in patriarchal society of Nepal.
