VIN (Volunteers Initiative Nepal ) and LRTT (Limited Resource Teachers Training) completed the post-observation visit in different schools of Tarkeshwor Municipality. Post-observation training was held from 18th to 21st August 2019. Total 20 fellows from LRTT-UK and 9 volunteers visited 38 public and private schools and observed the sessions of 73 primary and secondary school teachers.
Everyday pair fellows and a volunteer visited 8 to 10 schools and observed the teachers’ sessions. Through post-observation, LRTT fellows observed the sessions of teachers regarding engagement of students in the class, motivating students, uses of props and tools for active learning, control of teacher over the class. After observation, fellows gave positive feedbacks to teachers for more effective teaching. All the fellows and volunteers were warmly welcomed by teachers and schools.
Before post-observation, VIN and LRTT did a pre-training observation on 5th and 6th August 2019. 35 teachers from 16 government and private schools were observed as sample teaching. VIN also organized principal teachers meeting to know the condition of schools and to collect their expectation from LRTT training.
Based on that information, LRTT set up the training content and VIN organized 4 days Training for school teachers from 8th to 11th August 2019. Through this training, 94 teachers from 47 schools were directly get benefited. The training was held on Nepal Rashtriya Ma. Bi., Nepaltar.
