On 15th Jan 2016, Volunteers Initiative Nepal has welcomed six new volunteers from different countries. They are Joffrey and Matteo from France, Serena and Claudia from Italy, Monica from Netherlands and Simone from USA. The volunteers are for Health and care project, Women empowerment, Wash project and Teaching English in monastery program.
As usual the volunteers had three days induction on 15th, 16th and 17th including the refreshment sightseeing tour. On 1st day of Induction, they had been taken to the Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath for cultural sightseeing. On 2nd day of induction, The volunteers management team has provided the sessions VIN’s Introduction, Nepali language, Cultural Tips and placement information. And finally on the third day the program officers has delivered the program orientation to the volunteers and, the volunteer coordinator Antonin from France has also added the practical information to the new volunteers with the lexical meaning form which is very effective and helpful.
The new volunteers seem very dedicated and enthusiastic on their projects. The volunteers are already been mobilised on their focused working sites with the work schedules.VIN is very thankful to our partner organisation for sending very devoted and skilled people and for the committed volunteers for supporting on our goals of empowering the marginalised community.
