Volunteers Initiative Nepal has been doing various program in Jitpur community. Among them child development program is one of the main project. This program has Early child hood development, Sponsorship, school improvement project etc. All the programs have been running well in the past years. The school improvement project is one of the main program. VIN continues doing some work in Nagarjun school (Higher Secondary), it was affected by the earthquake of 2015 so Now they have temporary learning center .VIN volunteers painted walls, ceiling of the temporary learning house and have been teaching to children in this school.
This program was in Nagarjun school from 22 to 31 Jan 2016. There were altogether 20 Taiwan volunteers. They have participated in painting and teaching program. The volunteers were from VYA organization from Taiwan. They divided in a group like construction,teaching,painting group.The school heartily welcomed them when they came to the school for helping the kids to learn.
The Taiwan volunteers also interacted with Nepali university students. Taiwan and Nepali youths presented a short demo about education system , country and people. It was very good.
This program was very successful. About 300 children were present there and they learned new things about the volunteers country and culture. VIN has been doing this kind of project every year, by mobilizing local and overseas volunteers.
