27th March: VIN has been constructing toilets in okhaldhunga districts. The co-ordination committee which was formed in earlier month selected twenty poor and needy family who were not able to construct toilet by their own. Twenty toilets are being constructed in support of VIN and all of them are in the end stage of completion. The representatives from each family were oriented about the support program that VIN provides for toilet construction.
Firstly, representative from each twenty house were oriented about the measurement, materials they need to manage and about the support VIN provides for toilet construction. They were given fixed time to complete the hole, build toilet house, collect chip stones and sand. Volunteers helped in toilet construction activities. VIN distributed materials such as cement, rod, pan, pipe, tar, and pipes for toilet construction. Now, some of the toilet is completed while others are in the last stage of completion.
The poor and needy people are unaware about the importance of use of toilet. They suffer from hazardous diseases due to unhealthy practice.
