10th April, 2014:- Uterine prolapsed is common health problem in the women. VIN’s staff along with international volunteers organized uterine prolapsed training to the women of jitpurphedi. During the training women were explained about uterine prolapsed. They were informed on the pelvic muscle causing uterine prolapse, how to recognize prolapse, how to recognize pelvic muscle and also about the different exercise to contract their pelvic muscles for preventing the prolapse. They were also taught various exercise that could be done in different positions like while sitting, walking, working in the field, sleeping. Various symptoms such as vaginal bleeding or increased vaginal discharge, problems with sexual intercourse, seeing the uterus or cervix out from the vagina, Constipation and recurrent bladder infections were discussed. The women were suggested to visit the doctor as soon as they feel these symptoms. They were further explained about the non-surgical and surgical methods of treatment.
The women were very happy to learn about the symptoms, risk factors and preventive measures. They even shared the problems related to uterine prolapsed.
