On June 12th, 2016, the Board Members of the Women’s Cooperative in Tinpiple, Jitpurphedi, met to discuss the recent and the future activity of the co-operative and it’s members. The cooperative meeting was also joined by Miro Desh, Miro Daitto’ – ‘My Country, My Responsibility’- a disaster relief organization.. Their contribution to the meeting included a re-cap of the work that they did, as well as a formal Thank You to the Board Members, Cooperative members and VIN for the recent contribution to their work. They gave the Cooperative an official Certificate of Thanks, and the cooperative gifted ‘Mero Desh Mero Daito’ a beautiful ‘Token of Love’ plaque.
After the departure of ‘Mero Desh, Mero Daito’, the meeting continued as planned. The Board Members discussed many different topics to announce many exciting new decisions for the near future

Co-operative will prepare a membership application for Nepal Agricultural Co-operative Center organization in Kathmandu.
In order to have an alternative energy source for the Jitpurphedi community, we have decided to apply at the Alternative Energy Organization (solar, bio-gas, etc.) for use of their services and information.
The Board Members have decided to learn how to make soap. A group of members will visit the ‘Maha Shakti Soap and Chemical Industries’ (a soap making factory) to learn the skill required for soap-making and determine the cost of the materials necessary for its production.
The co-operative would like to be recognized by the ‘District Woman’s Development Office’ in Kathmandu for their work with the woman of Jitpurphedi. In order to obtain this recognition, the woman of the co-operative will need to apply at the District Office for Women Development and let them know about the positive work being done in this community.
