Women’s group meeting

The women’s empowerment program have  3 sub projects; Income generation and Marketing, Women’s rights and skills, Micro-credit cooperative. The women’s group meeting was conducted at Dadagaun of Jitpur community under Micro credit cooperative. This type of meeting is conducted monthly by Jitpurphedi women Agriculture co-operative limited.
The main objective of this meeting is to collect saving and credit from women members; individual and groups, to share the information of co-operative activities, to discuss new issues and problems and its solution.  Various topics were such as collect savings, decision loan dispatch, share distribution, temporary shelter, co-operative issues and sharing volunteer contribution etc were discussed in the meeting. Women group meeting was conducted in Dandagaun for seven groups. Women have demanded for shelter and toilet construction. They have demanded community building as well.
The regular meeting among the groups also shows the transparency of the cooperative. This type of meeting helps women to develop plans, to update their work.  Women appreciated the support of volunteer work for shelter construction along with the program launched by VIN.
