VIN along with LRTT has conducted teacher training twice before, with latest training at Sitapaila, in People’s Academy. This is the third time the training is being conducted and this time it is at Kapan, Joseph High School.
Total 99 teachers are trained through four days Teacher’s conference organized by Volunteer Initiative Nepal (VIN) and Limited Resource Teacher Training (LRTT) team in support with Buddhanilkantha Municipality, Joseph High School and NPABSON at Joseph High School, Kapan in January 2018. There are 99 teachers from 32 different schools of Buddhanilkantha Municipality benefitted from the training. They are trained from 24 LRTT fellows from different countries.
The main objective of this program is to train teachers to have increased confidence in their teaching and leadership skills through practical teaching learning methods. The training was conducted with different sessions such as visual, presentation and practical way of teaching e.g. playing games related to lesson, quiz games etc. Teachers are encouraged to make their own lesson plan. All the local teachers were very happy and satisfied to get this LRTT training and promised to implement practical teaching methods in their classrooms. It is proved by the views expressed by one of the participants “It was a great experience for me to be a part of this training. I learnt the skills to make the class more effective in delivering the sessions. I expect this type of training from government level also. I hope all of us have to implement and share these skills in our classrooms to make this training fruitful in true sense.” Bimal Adhikari, one of the participants.
