Volunteer Initiative Nepal (VIN) had sent 2 youth workers and 2 youth participants to Romania for Youth in action for sustainable development goal project. It sent youths and youth’s workers as a part of youth empowerment program.
Youth in action for sustainable development goal is an innovative project that aims to address and give solution to the issue mentioned in 17 SDG by involving youth initiative through a complete cycle of raising awareness of SDG training course and project piloting and evaluating. The project is financed by Education, Audiovisual and cultural executive agency (EACEA). The participants were hosted at Hostel Exotic Codlea, Romania. This project is organized in the frame of Erasmus program-Key action 2 –Capacity building in the field of youth and coordinated by the organization A.C.T.O.R.
Altogether, 28 people from Bulgaria, France, Greece, Nepal, Philippines, Romania, Slovenia, Thailand, and Vietnam took part in the project. The major objective of the project was to contribute to the achievement of SDGs in the sphere of youth involvement and strengthen and empower the Europe-Asia cooperation. The program was conducted from 2nd July, 2016 to 10th July, 2016.
The project helped the participants to be familiar with the 17 sustainable development goals. Besides, the project was very helpful for those who want to organize the sustainable development projects as it helped them to move forward with insight to think about sustainability.
