Monsoon is a law graduate from Kathmandu School of law and did her post Graduate Diploma in Women Studies. As a law student with a deep commitment to justice and social advocacy, she has developed a strong interest in child protection law. Her academic journey has equipped her with the foundational knowledge of legal principles, but the internship will help her apply these principles in real world situations.
Her responsibilities includes working for the children of seven schools of Tarkeshwor 03, Municipality. The works includes formation of children club, which helps children in decision making, active participation in school as well as societal work, child right advocacy, giving life skills workshop to the children of these schools. Also, her responsibilities include planning and facilitating workshops in schools, assisting in the designs and implementation of child right focused programs.
Her expertise includes community based program planning and execution, gained through coursework, volunteering and fieldwork. She has expertise in communication, workshop facilitation and training development, enabling her to support VIN’s mission.
Graduated in Law and Post Graduate Diploma in Women’s Studies. She is also a licensed lawyer. She has volunteered at Traffic Police Division (MTPD). She has participated in ‘The Mock Parliament” session held by Kathmandu School of law, participated in ‘community mobile legal clinic’, provided legal service in judicial and quasi-judicial bodies in Kavre and Bhaktapur district. She has participated in ‘International Workshop on Elimination of Bonded Labour System’ and workshop on ‘International Relation and Human Rights’ held in New Delhi, India. She has done research on “Reproductive health and Health Sanitation (Menstrual Hygiene) of women in Roshi Municipality, Kavre.
With a background in Law, she possess legal drafting skills, research, documentation, article writing, translation and communication skill and advocacy skills.

Her passion lies in advocating and awareness for the rights of children. She believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment in which they can grow, learn, and thrive without fear of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, so, that children are heard and protected within the legal system.
