As an ESC (European Solidarity Corps) Project Intern, I am deeply involved in the Children Protection Project under the Children Development Program. A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Tribhuvan University, I am dedicated to creating positive change for children. My role involves supporting international volunteers in executing the project cycle, ensuring that every phase aligns with the organization's mission of promoting children's rights and holistic development. Motivated and committed, I actively contribute to fostering environments where children can thrive—physically, mentally, socially, and creatively.
In my role, I work closely with international volunteers, assisting them through the project’s various stages to ensure a successful outcome. Specifically, I am responsible for forming and reforming child protection clubs in schools, which includes training teachers and youth leaders on effective club management and facilitation techniques. Additionally, I organize club management training, help establish rules, and conduct initial activities for these clubs.
I also contribute to developing life skills and creativity manuals that can be used by both children and facilitators, enriching the educational experience. A key aspect of my work is establishing Souvenir Magazines and Wall Magazines in schools, where children can showcase their artwork, poems, and stories related to child protection themes. To ensure sustainability, I complete the handover reviews and prepares for the upcoming team, creating a seamless transition for future volunteers.
I have previously worked as a secondary-level teacher at Guheshwari Boarding High School in Kathmandu. This role allowed me to guide students in social and health subjects, which not only enhanced my teaching abilities but also ignited their passion for social work. My experience working in education has proven invaluable in their current role within the Children Development Program
Additionally, I completed an internship at Kathford International College, where I worked as an Admission Counselor and Data Manager. This experience honed my data analysis and management skills, along with my ability to counsel and present comprehensive data reports to the administration.
