Testimonial VIN Andreas Hecht August 2022.
VIN made my stay as a volunteer teacher in the Drikung Kagyu Rinchen Ling Monastery possible, for which I will always hold gratitude. The setting is peaceful, and the exchange with the monks is intense and human. After some time, one feels like part of the monastic family; the mutual teaching, learning, and sharing of (cultural) perspectives significantly contribute to this impression.
When the monastery held its summer retreat without regular classes, VIN made it possible for me to stay in the Kopan Monastery above the hills of Kathmandu. This was another pleasant experience with the possibility to dive deeper into Buddhism and make use of the extensive secondary school of the monastery for scientific study purposes.
Being satisfied with the support of VIN throughout the volunteering process, I can recommend VIN for such intentions in Nepal.
