Great NGOs do not see the caste or religion of the people they work with. That ultimately means when you work with an NGO like VIN, you get to deal with people from social backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures, which helps you learn and adopt a new working environment.
I was amazed by seeing the results that VIN has changed the lives of more than a million people. I was inspired from my first day when I joined this organization and What I loved about this organization is the six major community empowerment programs. Women empowerment, children’s development, youth empowerment, public health and medical, environment conservation, and disaster risk reduction DDR. And It pays special attention to women and children’s issues; I believe that a community can only be empowered by helping children and women cause they are the future of the nation or that place. I am pleased that it cooperatively brings national and international volunteers to the same workplace.
I didn’t feel it was my workplace, but I thought it was my home cause my seniors were very much loving, caring, and always ready to help me out when I had any queries. Of them never judged me. My co-workers respected me.
