The experience was good. It was great getting to works along side with locals. I felt very lucky to work with VIN as organization that care so much for community. I think the introduction was well done, our group was very tired from travelling and it was very hot. The condition made it hard to continue on the first day. But it was also really great to have the different projects. The home stay is also great; I feel that it helped educate me as Nepal and the Nepali people. VIN was very well organized, always willing to help us any time. The host was amazing and very kind. It was a Great experience.
We had a great experience that we will take in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Integrating into the culture was effortless and enjoyable. We used English most of the time although we couldn’t speak with the people from the families we were helping. The host family was the best host family ever. VIN was always on call and ready to support us which was great.

The bond that I created with children at the school and the host family was invaluable. I truly felt like I was serving a community, not trying to fix it. We were very jet lagged during the induction, but the information provided was valuable and appreciated. VIN was very organized.
