The Yes, Youth Can (YWC) project is an initiative under the European Solidarity Corps, aimed at fostering solidarity through volunteering. Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) serves as the host organization, while Pi Youth Association (Türkiye) and ICJA (Germany) are the sending organizations. The project deploys 24 volunteers, divided into three intakes of 8 volunteers each, with each intake lasting 155 days.
YWC focuses on four core activities:
- Women’s Empowerment: Empowering women through education, skill development, and awareness programs.
- Youth Empowerment: Supporting young people in building leadership skills, career development, and civic engagement.
- Child Protection: Ensuring the safety and well-being of children through various protective measures and educational activities.
- Public Health: Promoting health awareness and improving healthcare access within the community.
Each pair of European Solidarity Corps volunteers works alongside a Nepali counterpart and is supervised by a dedicated supervisor to ensure effective collaboration and support. The project aims to create a lasting impact on the local communities while providing volunteers with meaningful and enriching experiences.
